This week we celebrated Valentine's Day and the letter "V". We made mosaic vases with violets pasted on violet paper. They were beautiful! We had a great party with fruit and muffins and milk/juice. We decorated our own tablecloths. Using shaving cream, glue, and water color paint we made cards for our parents. We also made class cards for the lunch ladies, Mrs. Burd, the school secretaries, and Rev. Walt. They really liked them.
We made a class volcano and had it erupt. Mrs. Bobo jumped back when it started spewing pink lava. That was really cool. You used water, dish liquid, baking soda, coloring, and vinegar. We colored brown paper to make the volcano, and used a juice bottle for the core.
Friday we finally got to go on our airplane trip. Judd and Langston were our pilots. We got passports which were stamped at each new place we visited. We also got boarding passes to tell us our seat number. Thank you Mrs. Crump for the passports and boarding passes. We visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, the Dinosaur Exhibit at the museum in New York, the Great Wall of China and other sights in China, the Sydney Aquarium in Australia, the Carlsbad, Caverns in New Mexico, and Mardi Gras. Google provided us with wonderful pictures of all our venues. We got a souvenir from each place and a postcard telling about it. It was a fun trip!
